Saudi Arabia Ready to Move Ahead With Aramco IPO
Saudi Arabia has once again begun work on an initial public offering of state-owned Saudi Arabian Oil Company, or Aramco, several months after putting the process on hold, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing "people familiar with the matter."
Attending the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries meeting in Vienna Tuesday, Saudi Oil Minister Khalid Al-Falih said, "we believe we are ready to start planning for the IPO of Aramco," according to the report.
The IPO, which calls for the sale of a 5% stake in the company, was first announced in 2016 and could raise $100 billion, the report said.
